Dr Matthew Short BM DRCOG

Brought up in East London and then East Sussex, Dr Short qualified from Southampton University Medical School in 1978. He was a Junior Doctor in Southampton, Ryde on the Isle of Wight and Salisbury in various specialites including A&E, Orthopaedics and Obstertrics & Gynaecology before undertaking his GP training on Salisbury Plain, north of Amesbury in Wiltshire.
He came to Gillingham as a full-time GP in May 1983 working initially in "a shack" at The Chantry before moving to the converted premises in School Road in 1984, then eventually the purpose built premises at The Barn in 1996.
His medical interests include delivering high quality Family Medicine, Orthopaedic Medicine and Diabetes Care to the local population.
He is married to an Anaesthetist and has three offsrping all born in the 1980's. His personal interests include motorsport (both as a doctor and as a competitor - a bit of a petrol-head), scuba diving, travelling and rugby, which he used to play locally until his skeleton cried "enough".

Dr Geoff Lewis MB BS MRCGP

Dr Lewis is the Executive Partner of the Gillingham Medical Practice. He qualified from the Middlesex Hospital Medical School in 1981 and initially specialised in Paediatrics at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington. He has been involved in the Local Medical Committee, Registrar Training and GP Appraisals since that time.
He remains interested in all aspects of General Practice and values the continuity of seeing families and children growing and coming back to see him.
He is married to Nikki, a local Businesswomen and has two children, Georgia and Harry. He is interested in climbing, sailing, skiing and tennis.

Dr Tim Wood BM MRCGP DRCOG

Dr Wood qualified from Southampton University in 1986. He completed his GP Training in Dorset after working in Bournemouth, Manchester, Southampton, Poole & Brighton.
He joined the practice as a Partner in 1993.
He is qualified as a Medical Student Teacher and a Retained GP Supervisor.

Dr Hilary Sage MB BS MRCGP DRCOG DFFP

Dr Sage qualified in 1985 from the Royal Free Hospital in London. She has worked as a GP since 1988, initially part-time whilst managing a young family.
She has been a Partner in Gillingham since 1996.
She is interested in all aspects of General Practice including women's health.

Dr Claire Chambers MB BS MRCGP DRCOG DCH DFFP

Dr Chambers qualified at Barts in 1999. She completed her training in General Practice in Bath and Somerset before moving to Dorset. She then spent three years working in Northern Ireland and Cyprus accompanying her husband during his Army Career.
She enjoys remaining a generalist and the variety this brings.
She is now permanently settled in Marnhull with her husband, three young children and a dog. In any spare time she enjoys walking and gardening.
