CHLAMYDIA
Are you a young sexually active person?
Have you or your partner ever had unprotected sex?
Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted disease (STI). It is called the 'silent' disease because most people who get it do not experience any noticeable symptoms. Young people under 25 are most likley to be infected and it has now become the most commonly diagnosed STI.
Chlamydia can be easily diagnosed through a simple swab or urine test and once diagnosed, can be treated with antibtioics. Undiagnosed Chlamydia can lead to more serious long term health problems and infertility.
Under 25s can get a free confidential Chlamydia test from the practice.
