Supporting evidence

At Gillingham Medical Practice we are committed to improving the services we offer and developing the surgery for the benefit of our patients.

To help us with this, we are setting up a virtual 'Patient Representation Group’ so that you can have your say. We will ask the members of this representative group some questions from time to time, such as what you think about our opening times, the quality of the care or service you receive. We will contact you via email and keep our surveys concise so it shouldn’t take up too much of your time.

We aim to gather around a hundred patients from as broad a spectrum as possible to get a truly representative sample. We need young people, workers, retirees, people with long term conditions and people from non-British ethnic groups.

If you are happy for us to contact you occasionally by email, please complete the PRG Signup form.

April 2010 - March 2011 GP Patient Survey

We have received the results of the April 2010 to March 2011 GP Patient Survey.

229 questionnaires were sent to adult patients registered at Gillingham Medical Practice of which 138 were returned completed.

We are pleased that for the majority of questions we are either at the same level or above average.

The survey included questions about booking appointments, ease of getting through on the phone, speaking to a Doctor or Nurse on the phone and overall care.

Dr Harriet Upton and Dr Mark Nankervis joined the Practice in February 2011, with them joining us we hope to improve our services even more.
