Gender: Female
Primary qualifications: RN, BSc Hons ANP, NMP, HEE ACP
I have been an Advanced Practitioner since 2012, demonstrating my competence at working at an Advanced Level by obtaining Health Education England’s Advanced Clinical Practitioner award.
I have gained my experience as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner through working in General practice, providing acute and routine consultations within a primary care setting. A Community Hospital as part of the medical team, admitting, providing medical cover for ill health, and discharging to their homes. This role involved supporting patients who needed further rehabilitation, recovering from a stroke and for palliative care. I also worked as the lead for the Frailty team, developing the service for the community of the Vale, before returning to Primary care in Gillingham.
Prior to becoming an Advanced Practitioner, I worked in various areas, which included acute care, community nursing, community hospitals and as part of a nurse led minor injury unit.
I have an interest in frailty and am passionate about the care and support of the elderly population. I currently undertake home visits for housebound patients, and support the residents in the local care homes.
In my spare time I like to pretend I am artistic, enjoying various arts and crafts.
